COUPLE WANTED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL POLICE ORGANISATION-INTERPOL
The well known Nigeria couple entrepreneurs, Gloria Igbarase and Muyiwa Folorunsho have
been declared wanted by the International Criminal Police Organisation - INTERPOL, on the 5th
of August, 2021.
The suspects whose social media influence earned them the popular pen name, "Bonnie and
Clyde" have been accused of defrauding investors, the sum of a billion naira in one case.
The couple are known to be the CEO of different enterprises, some of which are: Porkmoney,
Hyberfactory, Porkoyum, and Landlagos, among other Set ups used to exploit thousands of
Nigerians, in a large number of ponzi schemes traced down to them.
Lamenting victims in a petition to the Federal authorities somewhere in January, 2021, reads
that "the funds were diverted to personal use, including purchase of luxury properties and
foreign citizenship".
The warrants of arrest separately issued for them by the Lagos Division of the Federal High
Court reads that they are wanted for obtaining money under false pretense and stealing.
"He is wanted by the police for the offence of obtaining money under false pretense, stealing
and diversion of funds", reads a notice issued by the Interpol section of the Nigeria Police Force
in Lagos, with description of their physical qualities.
The document further reads: If seen, arrest and handover to the nearest police station or to the
office of the commissioner of police, Interpol section Force, Criminal Investigation Department
Amex, Alagbon, Ikoyi Close, Lagos.
In 2014, one of the companies, "Shape of You", came under criticism for not paying their
employees well and producing below standard products.
In 2019, the entrepreneur couple were in the trends on twitter for illegal business, after some
persons who claimed to have worked for them before, at Divergent Enterprise, accused the duo
of Fraud, creating a toxic work environment, deducting from the monthly pay and laying them off
over trivial mistakes.
One of the alleged former employees, in person of Ada, accused the couple of defrauding
clients and keeping their married status from public space.
However, the claims were denied by Mrs Gloria, as she spoke in their defence. "For those who
are unhappy with my perceived treatment of them while working for me, I sincerely apologize,
and I do hope that over time, as you venture into creating businesses of yours that you get to
understand why some things however unpalatable are totally necessary if one is to survive as a
business owner in Nigeria,” she wrote.
The duo also denied all allegations of corruption.
Following a petition filed by Chijioke Ukaegbu and other victims, they were declared wanted.
Intelligence research firm Sylnam Strategies coordinated the petition against the suspect.
