"Loving You Be My Greatest Sin" - Adekunle Gold

The popular Afro-pop singer, Adekunle Kosoko, who goes by the stage name, Adekunle Gold, wowed his fans with his recent release, "Sinner", which was officially launched on Thursday, 22nd July, 2021.

The singer claimed in a verse of his recently released song lyrics, that loving Sheba made him a sinner. "If I don't have you, nobody will" stated the singer in another verse of the song, to his lover in the music.

The music Champ made a smart move of featuring his wife, Simi, the Afro queen herself, in the sensual video of the song. In the video, the couple was making out in different places, such as the pool, on a car bonnet, in a bedroom and a bathroom.

In an interview granted to Official Chart by the singer, Adekunle said the song was inspired by the biblical story of King David and Bethsheba.

"I thought about the intimacy between them. I know it is weird, but I thought about how Bethsheba must have been a badass to entice King David so much, that he was going to risk it all for her", said the singer.

He continued by saying, it is a story people talk about that shows the frailty of David, but he chose to see it from the angle of Bethsheba being so beautiful and then he thought to have written about it that way.

The singer had further said, making the shift into Afro-pop was a move that changed his life. "I have always been this person. I just didn't show it before", the singer included.

The video was produced by Polish Photographer, Magdalena Wosinska. The song also features American singer, hailing from New Orleans, Lucky Daye and is produced by Blaize Beats.

The lyrics of the song as broadcasted by the singer on his Instagram page goes:

"Sheba O Sheba

Girl you make me a sinner

Sheba O Sheba

don't make me pull the trigger

Never say Never

Know I can do whatever

For Sheba oh be mine

don't wanna be a sore-loser"

In a mail shared by Adekunle to his fans, he wrote: "And if you are single while listening to my new single 'Sinner', don't forget, AG baby will always be your baby".
